Recycling implies the industrial process whereby waste is being broken down and transformed into new materials that are used to produce new items.

Upcycling on the other hand, doesn’t include any industrial process, thus does not require additional energy or water, and the waste objects are reused in their current state.

Both practices aim to minimize waste, reduce carbon emissions, save energy and protect our ecosystem, being the ground base for the circular economy. While recycling has already been acquired by many industries, upcycling is still relatively unexplored opportunity that, we believe, has an amazing potential for sustainable fashion.

Besides being the most resource-efficient production method, upcycling is also a great habit to incorporate in your daily life, because almost everything can be upcycled.
